Michael Hsu, Ed.D. is an educator, organizational researcher, and entrepreneur whose work spans education, organizational practice, interdisciplinary research, professional learning, and real estate. He earned his Doctor of Education in Leadership and Learning in Organizations from Vanderbilt University.
Connecting Research, Education, and Practice
My work focuses on understanding how people, organizations, and systems learn, adapt, and improve. Across teaching, organizational research, entrepreneurship, and professional practice, I am interested in translating ideas into practical frameworks that help people make better decisions and create meaningful change.
Research & Scholarship
My research explores organizational learning, leadership, configurational analysis, management practices, and interdisciplinary research. I am particularly interested in pattern-based and co-occurrence approaches for understanding complex organizational and educational phenomena and in how research insights can inform real-world practice.
Teaching & Speaking
I teach biological sciences and college-level courses, and I lead seminars, workshops, and interdisciplinary presentations. My teaching and speaking make research concepts accessible and applicable across disciplines.
